Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SMT Engineer to join our team in Vatva GIDC. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining PCB assembly machinery. This includes screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens used to mount electronic components onto circuit boards. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards and IPC specifications while maintaining smooth production line operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain SMT line equipment (screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens) to ensure efficient and continuous PCB production.
• Execute machine setups, product changeovers, and component loading (feeders) strictly according to work orders and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Conduct visual inspections and operate AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machines to verify proper component placement and solder joint quality.
• Identify, resolve, and document minor machine malfunctions promptly to minimize production downtime.
• Carry out routine daily and weekly preventative maintenance checks on all SMT machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, machine maintenance logs, and component defects.

Qualifications:

• Education: ITI in Electronics/Electrical, Diploma in Electronics/Electrical, or B.E/B.Tech in a related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of electronic components and surface-mount technology. Basic soldering skills are highly advantageous.

Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and basic computer skills.
• Understanding of electronic components and, in some cases, soldering skills.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience Level: 0 to 2+ Years
• Freshers are welcome to apply.
• Previous experience as an SMT Operator or in electronics manufacturing is highly preferred.
